The “just tell me what to eat!” trap

And the real solution to the problem:

,

I’ve been coaching clients for over twenty years now.

And a common request I get from almost all of them is…

“Just tell me what to eat!”

I get it. We wish it was as easy as “pick this or that.”

But instead of answering that question…

Let’s address the main cause as to why this question arises.

You see, we’ve been conditioned to believe there’s a one-size-fits-all diet.

This is pushed by the sixty-million-dollar diet industry who doesn’t care about your goals but about their profits.

These mass-produced diets usually leave you hungry or low in energy.

But we’re told “this is the way to shed weight”, so we keep pushing.

We’re basically ignoring our bodies’ signals for a cookie-cutter meal plan.

Not good.

Let me show you a different way:

The way of intuitive eating.

Of course, intuitive eating starts with some general knowledge.

Understanding macros is a good starting point.

Aside from that, intuitive eating entails awareness.

You must ask questions like: "when I'm hungry, am I really hungry?

...Or just craving something out of a need for safety or connection?"

The more aware you are, the easier you connect with your body.

But this is something you must practice - and tough questions are the first step.

I’ll cover other steps in the following weeks.

Take care,

Brandon.

P.S. I talk a lot more about intuitive eating on this twelve-minute video from our Facebook group. If you want to develop intuitive eating habits, I suggest you watch it.

P.P.S. We have a BIG announcement to make next week. You’ll be thrilled. Stay sharp for next week’s emails!
