This Might Be the Day
The odds of an average golfer making a hole-in-one are 12,500 to 1.
This weekend, my younger brother Kevin defied those odds once again by sinking his fifth career ace at our home course, The Ohio State University Golf Club.
There is certainly an element of luck in any hole-in-one, but having skills and confidence can absolutely increase your chances. Kevin brings both every time he steps onto the course.
I’ve had two holes-in-one over my career, but the last one was more than 33 years ago. Some golfers play their entire lives without ever getting one. Still, every time we walk up to the tee box on a par 3, we think to ourselves, “This might be the day.”
I’m not sure what the real estate equivalent of a hole-in-one would be. Maybe it’s landing a luxury listing. Perhaps it’s working with a multi-million-dollar buyer. Earning a repeat client or receiving a referral might not be as rare as an ace, but it definitely brings the same level of excitement.
So as you start your week, bring your skills, your confidence, and just the right amount of belief that something special could happen. Maybe this is your day to hit an “ACE” of your own.
And when it happens, give me a call. Just remember... you're buying the drinks.
