No Confetti
The ocean never stops. The waves just keep coming ashore. Sometimes a little slower as the tide is going out and sometimes a little faster as the tide is coming in.
High tide. Low tide.
Then high tide. Then low tide.
Then high tide. Then low tide.
When You Hit 10,000, Just Keep Going
Last week was Day 100. That was the goal I focused on when I started, but now it's behind me. I’ve decided to keep going. I started on April 1st.
Wake up. Do 100 sit-ups and 100 push-ups. Check the box and move on with the day.
No excuses. No alibis. Just get on the floor and do the work.
This began as a personal health challenge to get in better shape, but also as a test to see if I could stay committed to something difficult that would benefit me in the long run. I’ve done this challenge before, nearly two years ago, so I knew it could be done. But this time, the streak has taken on a life of its own.
When you start out doing 100 of anything, it doesn’t seem like a big deal. But once you do it for 100 straight days, you look back and realize you've now done 10,000 reps. That’s 10,000 sit-ups and 10,000 push-ups.
10,000 somethings.
Day 100 came and went. No fanfare. No confetti. Just another day with 100 and 100.
Today was Day 105. Tomorrow will be 106.
Might as well keep going, right? If I stay on track, October 17th will be Day 200.
That would be 20,000 "somethings."
Now, imagine if we did something like this for our business.
