Theirs is a marriage of convenience

She loves another...

Lady Julie has dreamed of marrying her childhood sweetheart since she was four years old. Unfortunately, her father has other plans. He has his sights set on her marrying an earl. When she is forced into an unwanted betrothal, Julie needs to make a choice: wait for her true love and destroy her honor, or make a deal with the forbidding earl.

He vowed to never love again...

Robert, the Earl of Clydesdale, has sworn off love. A marriage of convenience is more to his liking. So he wasn’t about to turn away a beautiful young lady’s plea for help in exchange for her hand in marriage. But once he spends more time with his betrothed, his icy heart begins to melt. Only his betrothed is in love with another. Now Robert has a choice, either lock his heart away and live in misery, or take a risk and fight for the woman he loves.

If you've already devoured all the books, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could post your review or a rating for the boxset.

Now that the series is finished, I'm eager to hear your thoughts. Who are your favorite secondary characters? Whose stories would you love to explore next?

You might already be aware that a few of the charming gentlemen from A Wager with the Gentleman will have their stories released soon. But who else? Alan's story has received numerous requests (and yes, I have plans for him). There have also been inquiries about Ben (Spoiler alert for those who haven't read the books****), the Lewis brother who died in the war... or did he?

Whether I've mentioned them or not, I'd love to hear from you about whom YOU would be eager to read about next.

And if you're feeling a void after finishing the Necessary Arrangements series, you might be happy to know that I have another series that you can read now! It's a bit different, with a mystery and adventure elements sprinkled in. But it has six books out, and seventh book is on its way with no end on the horizon yet...

Yes, William's book won't mark the end. There are a couple more tales waiting to be told.

I'm often asked whether The Shadows series and the Necessary Arrangements series share the same world. And the answer is YES.

They are set in different time periods (one in the 1700s and the other in the 1800s). But if you read both series, you might have noticed a few easter eggs thrown in. Let me know if you noticed any!

A timid bluestocking…

Stuck in her little cottage with her three sisters and an aging father her entire life, Miss Beatrice Fowley has never had the chance to experience the real world. After being jilted by a charming viscount, she now has to marry a seventy-year-old lord intent on begetting an heir and a spare.

Having read plenty of books—most of which are romance—Beatrice has a list of things she wants to experience before the church bells toll her doom. Unfortunately, real life is far more dangerous, and Beatrice quickly realizes that she needs a guide and a guard.

Meets her surly knight…

Adam Lewis has lived in the shadow of his brothers his entire life. When he encounters his brother’s former fiancée in distress, once again, honor dictates he step in to lend her aid and clean up after his brother’s mistake. Only the lady will not accept just any kind of assistance! The stubborn and naïve young bluestocking insists she wishes to experience “real life” before she allows him to escort her home to be married.

And the wager is struck.

Coerced into helping Miss Fowley with her scandalous list, Adam plots to outsmart the bluestocking to get her out of his life quicker. But as passion and desire flare between the reluctant partners, they realize one item has been left off the list—what to do with their wild, rebellious hearts when it comes to the end of the road…?

A fun farewell to the beloved series.

Read A Wager with the Gentleman now!

For eager audiobook readers, A Wager with the Gentleman is in production with the same wonderful narrators who read the rest of the series! I will update with the release date as soon as I have it!

Those of you who are NOT ready to say goodbye to the Necessary Arrangements world... well, be certain that those characters will return in my other Regency Romance books. Including the Mad Duke March.

He’d only come to France to drink, gamble, and escape the terrors of England. Even with his father dead and buried, the place held nothing but darkness for him…until his money ran out.

Which is why the brightness of this mad Englishwoman, searching the French armies for her supposedly prisoner-of-war brother, is an absolute nonsense.

Nice young ladies don’t march into French encampments. They don’t meander into French inns and accost the locals asking after her brother. And they certainly don’t make bargains with strange penniless desperate Englishmen. But Beth Mead has never been one for Society’s expectations, nor keeping them.

And so a deal is struck: Hugh will help Beth find her missing soldier brother, and she’ll pay his passage back to England.

Both think they’ve got the better bargain, but you can’t put a price on trust—and as secrets and lies intermingle with hopes and expectations, Beth and Hugh swiftly discover that to protect themselves, they may have to betray the other…

Enemies make the best lovers…

Until they reveal their true identities…

All Lady Bella wants to be is herself. And if that includes being a spinster, so what? She’s starting her own business doing what she loves, designing gardens; despite the ton looking down their noses at her ambitious spirit. She has the intelligence and competence to pursue her dreams, but can her heart and soul resist the lips of her infuriatingly desirable first client…

Mr. Lyle Fairfax does not want a wife. Not one picked by himself and certainly not one from the kindhearted, meddling, but discreet, dowager duchess. In Lady Bella he sees his escape. Her coming in to redesign his gardens is the perfect distraction to keep him too busy for a wife, as well as keep his secrets safe for now.

Her and her rose-tinted lips and ample… busyness will keep him from getting married, won’t they?
