The holidays are fast approaching.

Our pastured turkey is dry brining in the fridge.

Sourdough sits on our counter, looking forward to its date with the oven in the morning.

And next year is going to have two fabulous opportunities.

Our first event is like none before - some R&R... and R - Mt. Rushmore, Rodeo, and Rogue.

We are heading to Rapid City, SD for three days in the high plains the week of the Rodeo Black Hills. Nominated 23 times for best indoor rodeo in the nation, and 5 time winner!

Joel and John have never been to a real rodeo, so we are both pretty excited to spend Friday night at the rodeo with all our rogue friends. But Joel and I have also never been to Mount Rushmore, so Thursday morning for early arrivers, there will be an opportunity (will have limited seats available) to bus together to this historic site and see it's grandeur for yourselves.

The event also features two great lunches, a lot of fantastic speakers, and a farm tour at Dry Creek Farm and Ranch with Shawn and Kirsty Freeland following lunch on Saturday.
