No really. I'm on a hot streak.

The writing streak is the only thing that's hot here, however, the rest of me is pretty cold. I look like a blanket monster perched on the end of the futon in the living room where I've taken up permanent residence.

Speaking of permanent residence! I'm officially a Nevadan!

Never mind the top of the license plate frame or the view of utterly filthy back hatch on the SUV above it-- here's a glimpse of my shiny new Nevada license plate!

I have to memorize a new license pate number, and a new driver's license number now...but the DMV clerk caught the discrepancy between my old drivers license and my application for the new one, so I'm relieved to still have my motorcycle endorsement!

Maybe someday I'll get another motorcycle. But frankly-- I like my cup holders and climate controls more than I liked fighting with the chin strap fastener on the helmet.

I am, indeed, making progress on the writing; and trying to focus on just one thing at a time while twenty characters are all demanding they be allowed to tell their stories now!

Characters are kind of like cats that way: they either want all your attention or they want to be left alone completely. Unfortunately, you can't just open a tuna can to get them to come running when you need them.

If you celebrate any of the season's holidays-- may they be excellent. If you don't celebrate any of the season's holidays-- may the days still be excellent.
