The next Moonshine Ridge Lumberjack book is the first of the three Murdock brothers. All ex-military, silver foxes, they're grumpy, stubborn, and-- up till now-- dedicated to lives of reclusive bachelorhood.

We're about to change that for them!

Carver Murdock's story is available on pre-order now for just 99 cents.

Release date: August 20 (next week!) and in KU once it's live!

Carver Murdock

A month ago, a small plane went missing. Last week, they found the wreckage crushed against the side of a mountain. Recovery crews declared there were no survivors.

Then the most beautiful woman I've ever seen staggers into my logging camp, remembering the plane crash she survived-- and little else.

Now we're working against time to find out my curvy mystery woman's true identity and why she was on a private flight that has no record of her; and who might be looking for her.

By the time we get those answers, however, she's already mine.

When men come to our small mountain town asking about her, we both know the story they're telling is a lie.

I'll protect her, while we find the truth, but if that truth takes her from me-- who will protect my heart?

I'm having fun with the lumberjack books and I'm really excited to get to the Murdock brothers! I'm getting to play with a couple of tropes I haven't written yet, like Honey's amnesia in Protected by the Lumberjack.

I'm also having entirely too much fun teasing out mysteries of the Weeping Wilderness... and I'd love to drop spoilers but-- I have no #$*@!ing clue what it really is...yet. I do know that one thing will be a problem for a future series set in Paradise Point.

I also know that I have another ranch (four, actually,) in Slow River to write, a seemingly never-ending list of ideas for more Moonshine Ridge series, and I really, really want to write more match-maker books... and it all takes time so I can't even hazard a guess to when we'll get to that Paradise Point series!

In the personal life? It's been hot up here in northern Washington for the last few days. As soon as I wrapped up Carver and Honey's book, I celebrated by hiking down to the river and sitting in it for two hours-- without sunscreen on.

Y'all...I am fair skinned. Of the "all sides of my family came from Scotland" kinda fair skinned. I am the reason sunscreen comes in SPF 75 now. Alas.

I'll be starting the younger Murdock brother-- Calvin-- next and tackling another new trope for me; the bodyguard.

Let me know if there are other tropes you'd like to see my take on-- or just more of something I've already done. I have to get back to the hobo house and put on more aloe vera.
