Greetings from the picturesque mountain town of Winthrop, WA! Where I have spent my day finding a shower, way too much good food, a dozen shops full of things to spend my money on-- and the bookstore where I did spend my money.

Also-- internet, which is important for the author things on the to-do list.

I'm stuffed full of cheese burger and huckleberry ice cream and I should have done the authorly chores before I got too full and sleepy to be excited about doing them... but the view from this little community park isn't bad; I just watched a couple half-naked guys head down to the river with their inner tubes (which aren't inner tubes, of course.)

I want you to know that this area is full of hikers, rock climbers, mountain bikers and smoke jumpers. Half naked guys heading to the river? This place has a nice view!

Yes, I know; I need pics. I have to work on that.

Well: Another book in the Moonshine Ridge Lumberjacks series is out now and this email is supposed to be more about that than about the local scenery.

Traveling through all these mountain and valley towns has been giving me so many ideas for future books to set in Moonshine Ridge and the surrounding towns. It's a little overwhelming.

And that's not counting all the books I hope to write that aren't part of the Moonshine Ridge world.

I wish I could write faster.
