More Babbling from Behind the Writing Cave Walls

I did laundry today.
Wow. Right? I know-- super on-topic for the weekly email from the vagabond romance author.
Doing laundry means going to the laundromat; even with being semi-settled in one place for nearly six months, the Nevada house is still a work in progress and, while we do finally have plumbing for laundry, we do not have the actual devices for laundry.
BFF assures me they are on the way, but I'm beginning to suspect that I'll be back on the road to adventure before I can do laundry in the house.
Laundromats are excellent places to people watch-- sometimes to meet locals and fellow travelers-- once to get awkwardly hit on by a man with a nice beard but not great conversational skills.
Today, it was a great place to start a new book. In a new series. Set in a new town.
This series has been one of my waaaaay back-burner projects since I began writing the Moonshine Ridge mountain man books (it is in the same world.) It was not supposed to even get glanced at for another two years.
But the muse has wandered into the remote hamlet of Paradise Point and made herself at home there, despite my insistence that she get her butt back on the ranch in Slow River Valley.
She waves nonchalantly and says, "yeah yeah, in a minute."
Meanwhile, Raven Swann (of the Modern Match-Maker series) is arguing with her assistant about whether or not they are going to accept an offer to do a reality television project.
Raven says no. Jessica says, "pleeeeeeze."
And, in Slow River Valley, Ranger O'Leary and his "just pretend we're together so my mom will stop trying to set me up with a woman I'm not interested in" girl, are still working on dodging the small town obstacles on the way to a very real HEA.
Current work in progress:
Good news: There are a lot of new books on the way!
Bad news: I can't write them all at once.

New to Rocklyn Ryder's newsletter and wondering WTF I'm talking about half the time?
- I'm a single woman doing that nomad life thing, so I talk about wandering around a lot.
- I started the Rocklyn Ryder pen name in 2016 with a series of contemporary romance novellas featuring a talented professional match-maker. There are currently 15 books in that series with more planned and if you haven't read them-- you totally should. It's back in KU for the time being, so now's a great time to binge them.
- I'm currently in my insta-love era with heart-eyes on swoony OTT mountain men. The Moonshine Ridge books are all short reads that will deliver the fun, steam, and HEAs in less than two hours per book.
- Bush and Wood most likely qualify as my favorite things I've written and one day, the Wild Romance Collection will include a bunch more books with titles that make wicked fun double entendres. The Wild books aren't in KU anymore, and soon they will all be available on multiple storefronts, as well as Kobo plus and Everand (formerly Scribd) but...that's a project that's been sassing back. For now, you can find them on Amazon:
Because I often find myself reading other author's newsletters after snatching up a free download with grabby hands, only to feel completely lost when I'm unfamiliar with their worlds and characters.
Believe it or not-- this isn't SPAM. The only way you ended up on my mailing list is if you wandered in on your own. I totally get that that doesn't mean you didn't wander in by accident though.
Of course, I think you should hang out awhile, but if you find me boring AF or just plain weird-- it's super easy to unsubscribe with the link down below in the tiny print.
