First thing, I want to say thank you to everyone who hit reply to my last email! And I also want to say thank you for all the things you thought of to share with me!

I learned some cool stuff about you and got to see lots of pictures of family fur babies and just had so much fun replying to everyone... and I do still have some emails in the inbox that I haven't gotten to yet.

The good news is that I do get my email, apparently. Yay! The bad news is that the company's updates are clearly not perfected yet-- I could not get my emails to open this morning and my inbox keeps telling me there's nothing in there even when I can see the emails when I first open the site.

So... it's not us. That's good news, at least.

I'm in Las Vegas, Nevada this week for the Author Nation author conference. My author friend who usually meets me for the conference wasn't able to make it this year and that leaves night owl, introvert me all on my own to make it to workshops before noon and generally stay out of trouble.

It's been three days of being awake, dressed, and interacting with fellow humans without growling and I'm proud of myself-- but so ready to get back in the hobo house writing lair so I can hyper focus on finishing Unreliable Witness.

This author event is exactly why my original deadline for the first book of the new Rogue Ops series was last week.

You've heard me say it dozens of times: I'm not good at multi-tasking.

I knew I wouldn't get any writing done this week, even without my friend to keep me company.

That puts me way behind at this point-- but as soon as I get settled in to my next campsite, I am going to be spending some high-quality time with the Rogue team and, especially, Talon and Zona.

I'm really looking forward to it!
