I know, I know; I thought I'd be back this week with a proper cover reveal for the upcoming book and all kinds of exciting information about the book, the series, and all the new characters and their stories that we're in for.

And yet, here I am-- not much further along than I was last week.

The whole series has covers ready to reveal as we go along (I had no fun at all with doing a full series reveal last time.)

I know all our Rogue Ops team members (the heroes) and Harlan Frost has helpfully told me something about the Rogue Ops organization and how it operates in the shadows of his high profile private security company-- simply called Frost Security. (Harlan's not much for creative naming, apparently.) And I know that Paradise Point... is not Moonshine Ridge. Not even a little bit.

So, get ready to meet all new colorful characters in an all new town.

I'm having so much fun!

But-- I'm also back at the home base, trying to check all the chores off the "adulting" to-do list and discovering that list is a little longer than I thought it was. (pained sigh.)

I was even supposed to have the O'Leary boys of the Slow River Valley Ranches bundled up into one handy set-- did I get that done? Nope.

What have I gotten done?

Well...that one tire on the SUV that's been slowly leaking since Port Townsend, WA is repaired. The tires are rotated and balanced, the oil is changed, and the brakes have been checked and still have several miles left before they'll need to be replaced all the way around.

So, the SUV is ready to tow the hobo house south for the winter soon.

I handled some grown-up stuff in the personal life and got a few other grown-up things pushed a little further along and am looking forward to those being finished up in a few more months. (Why does grown-up stuff take so long?)

And, of course, I have been working on Rogue Ops! I'm just a week behind schedule. (And I'm super grumpy about it.)

But I'm working on it, and I promise you'll get to meet Talon and Zona soon!
