A few days ago, I was stressing that I was going to have nothing to tell you this week. Suddenly, I have too many things!

First: Did you know that A Wise Investment has a bonus scene?

I didn't.

Not until this afternoon when I was going through the bajillion redundant folders of book files that I've managed to create in the process of changing computers over the last few years in search of something or other.

But it turns out that the file claiming to be a bonus scene to Bear and Dorthy's book from way back in the middle of the Match-Maker series really was a bonus scene!

Maybe once upon a time it got sent out? But that was before my Bookfunnel days and before the fancy formatting software and I had long forgotten all about it.

Second: Have you skipped reading the Do-Over Pact-- or the rest of the Do-Over Pact-- because it's not in KU?

Here's your chance! The entire series has been bundled together in one volume and the compilation is in KU for a limited time.

Third: The new series has a name! Look forward to hearing about the Rogue Ops; Mountain Security Protocol series for the next few months!

And yup-- there are covers too!

Plans for the new series underwent a number of hiccups and setbacks over the last week. So whatever you heard about my plans before? It was all a disinformation campaign designed to confuse, commingle, and obfuscate.

I wasn't kidding when I said I don't read military romance/romantic suspense. Thanks to internet access and a lot of browsing of the Amazon bestseller charts in the categories-- and several suggestions from y'all-- I now know who Susan Stoker and Janie Crouch are.

This is good-- because it helps me understand what I've gotten myself into and how I'm most likely to straddle the lines between this new genre of romance and the way I write. But it's bad because-- who needs sleep, right? Get things done? No thank you-- reading now.

Oh yes, and because the Zodiac theme has been done-- specifically, in this genre-- and I feel that's just a little too close for comfort. So...pivots are in order.

I'll be back next week with an update on Rogue Ops. I'm still getting a feel for the team and their assignment.

I'm so excited! I get to make a new page break-- with helicopters!

My nomading for 2025 is coming to an end. I have to be back home by the end of October so I can turn around and head down to Las Vegas for an author conference.

Then, the last few months of the year promise some exciting new things that I'll be stressed out about until after the new year when I know how it turns out.

In the meantime, I'll have a new series to keep me busy...as well as all the little projects on the backburners and behind-the-scenes that I need to get to; like organizing all those redundant files on the hard-drive.
