Hunter never expected he'd need to take advantage of the clause in his father's will that gives him full control of the family corporation. Until he discovers that his uncle's mismanagement has the company on the brink of financial ruin.

When attempts to contest the will fail, Hunter's left with no other choice— he needs a wife, whether he wants one or not and a professional match-maker seems like his best chance of finding one.

Carissa's been dreaming of happily ever after since she was a little girl. that's why she signed up with modern day match-maker, Raven Swann, years ago.

Just when it looks like her match has been made, she gets hit with the truth: Hunter isn't proposing marriage, he's proposing a business arrangement.

But when Carissa's sister needs financial help, Carissa agrees to Hunter's offer.

They may have agreed on a marriage of convenience, but Hunter and Cari can't deny their chemistry.

When the terms of the deal are met, will they be able to shake hands and walk away? Or will they realize that their match-maker was right all along?

Hey Rockstars!

I'm super excited to finally be able to share A Promising Beginning with you! This book gave me a lot of grief during the writing process. I'd initially planned on bringing Raven's assistant, Jessica, into the story but-- the story worked out how it worked out.

Jessica will eventually get her spotlight.

But first, I'm knee deep in a new series project that I got caught up in over the holidays and I'm hoping to get to share that very soon!

Well, my time in Washington DC came to an end nearly a month ago, and although it's nice to be back "home" in Tahoe, it's freezing cold and buried in snow here! Meanwhile, my little hobo house trailer is sitting cold and lonely in a storage unit waiting patiently for the next adventure it gets to go on. But it looks like it's going to be in storage a little longer because I might be headed to Seattle next...we'll see. My life isn't exactly predictable these days.

We had two cars stuck in the driveway here two days in a row this week. I've got some nasty blisters on my hands from wielding the snow shovel for several hours each day to get both cars back on their way.

The cabin is at the dead end of a private road-- no one would get stuck if they bothered reading all the "Dead End/No Outlet/Private Drive" signs before the pavement ends. Or if they had 4 wheel drive. Because our driveway is a Jeep commercial during the winter months!

I hope you're enjoying the remnants of your winter warm and toasty-- or the remnants of your summer cool and relaxed-- where ever you are!

That's my car out there, after four days of shoveling to unbury it after leaving it in the driveway for three months...but it's not stuck.
