And there I was, doing so well at getting a newsletter out once a week again!

Yes, I did burrow into my Washington DC writing den and make a concentrated effort to wrap up the new Match-maker book.

No. It did not go well.

Instead, I got a little stir crazy and found myself deep in note-taking madness creating an entirely new small town universe for upcoming stories.

Spoiler alert: new book ideas were not in short supply! It's the distraction-free time and space to bring them to life that's been lacking.

But I did make progress on A Promising Beginning. I'm so close now.

I'm also back in the western United States-- currently holed up in the Tahoe cabin where I'd left my car. It took THREE DAYS to dig my car out from under the snow! And several ibuprofen to keep me getting out of bed. I'm getting old, y'all.

And naturally-- the plans I thought I had for the next few months now look like they are dissolving and I have no idea what the office view is going to look like come March.
