Wyoming, Road Work, and a Minor Syrup Mishap

First, I'm happy to share that me and the little hobo house are back on the road, catching up this week from a highway rest area along interstate 80 in Wyoming where it is nowhere near the 104 degrees my weather widget says it is back at the Fallon home base.
Also happy to say that my new work space is working out very well! Not that you can see the fold out desk well in this photo-- this is more of a "hey, look at all that Wyoming out the window!" kinda photo.
OTOH: The hobo house does smell overwhelmingly like brown sugar after a particularly bumpy section of road somewhere west of Laramie.
I'm about 200 miles from my destination and was thinking I would be there tonight-- late tonight, but tonight-- when I pulled over here for a pit stop and decided to check how things inside the trailer are traveling today.
I was thrilled to find all my new construction did extremely well after eight hours of Nevada and Utah yesterday, but today's a new day that involved a new state and a few rougher sections of roadway.
I knew things had gone bad as soon as I opened the door-- it reeks of brown sugar in here.
IDK where the cap went. I do know where half a bottle of sugar free, salted caramel syrup went though.
By the time I was done mopping the floor and everything else covered in syrup, I informed my friend in Colorado that I will see her tomorrow.
Now I want pancakes-- or possibly Bath and Body Works from around the early 2000s... what was that scent called? Spun sugar, maybe?
So I've been cleaning things off and putting away the other things that jumped onto the floor along with the coffee syrup... I had a collection of reassuring fortune cookie fortunes that went in the trash after being soaked in syrup. Except for this one:
I assume it's a message from the universe. So I hung it back up and settled in for the night.
Tomorrow, I'll get where I'm going, catch up my friend there, and get back to work on writing-- and airing out the smell of salted caramel syrup. I can worry about that shelf that fell down some other time.
