Last week, the entire little hobo house was just a pile of chaos, this week, there's a lot of empty space where new cabinets should be soon.

For everyone who isn't already aware-- I'm living that crazy "vanlife," except I don't actually have a van. I built a tiny cargo trailer into a cozy camper back in 2021 and it's been my primary home ever since.

After 5 years of staring at those turquoise walls, I've had plenty of time to think of all the things I'd do different if I built the trailer over again and this year, I'm putting those ideas into action.

When it's done, there will be actual cabinets (I'm cheating by installing pre-made cabinets because I can't build drawers that can survive the constant traveling,) and most importantly-- a proper desk! (But the turquoise walls are staying, I still love them.)

Right now, the project is in "wait for the next Amazon delivery" mode, because it's one of those "I can't do X until I complete Y but first I have to do Z" things, and I didn't know I needed Z until I tried to do Y.

Also... I jacked up my back something good this week. And I'm not entirely sure how, except to blame it on getting old. (I swear I'm not that old!)

Meanwhile-- in more authorly news-- Do you remember web rings? (Yes, that's how old I am!) Well, some authors who are smarter than me had a brain storm to set up an old fashioned web-ring that will connect authors who sell direct from their own stores.

I think it's genius, to be honest.

Uhhhh... I'd like to just skip the part where we talk about my writing progress if that's ok. I mean, it took me a week to get that Authorring widget installed on my site because I couldn't find my laptop under the chaos. But the books are still in my head, the characters are still quite impatient with me to tell their stories, and new voices pipe up all the time.

I'm eager to get the remodel done because I can't wait to sit down in a proper, ergonomic chair, and catch up on all the stories waiting to be told!
