The Writer Cave is Under Construction

I've written 31 books at the table that you can only barely see in this picture.
And now I'm ripping the whole thing apart!
The project is going-- slowly-- and I'm definitely one of those people who needs my environment to be all ordered and organized.
But when you live in 76 square feet of space, there's not really a place to put things when you remodel. So, it's been challenging.
When it's all done, I'm going to have a proper desk!
Well, I'll have a slab of wood and a real chair-- it's the real chair that's going to make all the difference, and I'm so looking forward to it.
I'll keep you posted on the progress, but I'm really hoping to have it done in a couple of weeks so I can get back to writing in hyperfocus, where I get to just live inside the story and write it straight through.
I've had way too many distractions and interruptions over the last few months and I'm ready for life to settle back into a manageable routine.
Meanwhile, I'm still thinking about that guy that delivered my shipping container to the campsite down in New Mexico, which has me feeling those cowboy vibes.
Have you read the O'Leary brothers of the Slow River Valley Ranches?
Slow River Valley is the small town in the valley at the base of the mountains where Moonshine Ridge is. The O'Leary family of the Delta O Ranch is complete and still available in KU. (And eventually, I'll get around to writing the other big ranch families of Slow River!)
