Apr 10, 2025 12:01 pm
I left them making out in the kitchen pantry, so I have to get back to writing as soon as I get the newsletter taken care of, but I wanted to get this done before it's three a.m. and I've forgotten.
The Cowboy's Off Limits Option is up for pre-order!
Stake your claim on a copy now for 99 cents
Of course, it will also be in KU when it releases on April 23.
Spoiler alert: The quote on this promo image isn't actually in the book. It was the place holder prompt I used under the chapter heading to mark where the sexy stuff starts-- and it represents the closest thing to an "outline" I can muster.
Truth is, I got a kick out of it when I was editing out my notes and thought it would be a great quote for a promo image. So here ya go.
Archer and Callie finally snapped. They got themselves into a situation and next thing you know-- yup, making out in the kitchen pantry, confessing secret crushes and Archer's making a lot of those growly "mine" statements that sound sexy when you're making out with your brother's best friend that you've been pining for since you were a teenager.
One little problem left to deal with though: Callie's brother is a bit protective of his little sister and he might be Archer's best friend, but he might also kill Archer and refuse to do business with the Delta O Ranch if he finds out about this.
One more time-- It's releasing on April 23rd and it's on pre-order now:
FYI: Callie has been seen previously in Driven to the Mountain. The heroine of Driven, Ginger, is Callie's BFF, and this book happens concurrently with Ginger's-- I didn't plan it that way, it just happened. Although I always knew she and Archer Dean would get their book-- and their HEA.
Callie is also seen in Whispers on the Mountain, where she's Zephyr Hart's mentor at the flower shop in Slow River-- and Cal's appearance in Whispers gives a tiny little peek at the HEA she's living by that time.
My friends are tired of listening to me geek out about how the books of the Moonshine Ridge world keep falling into place together despite all the things I didn't plan.
All I can say is, I got very excited that Ginger's first night staying on the Ridge with Current Jones worked out so well for leaving Callie all alone on the night she got the worst news ever. ;-)
This pre-order is up for two weeks because the book isn't quite done yet and I don't want to stress the deadline for getting the final manuscript uploaded.
In the personal life? Not much going on out here. The weather is getting warmer and the house remodeling is getting closer to complete.
BFF will be renting out the extra bedrooms soon and is already looking at the next phase in expanding her empire.
Her bestie, however, spend most of her (my) time hiding in the hobo camper in the back yard, writing and wondering WTF I'm still doing in one place after so long.
This time last year, I was just leaving Texas after the total solar eclipse and was headed up to Carlsbad, NM.
I'll be heading out again soon-- it'll get too hot for me here in short order. This time, I'm looking at a route that will let me cross eastern Montana and North Dakota off my list.
