Hi, !
Box Set Coming Soon!
Most of you have probably already downloaded and/or read the Bloodcaster Chronicles. But if you haven't - or you know someone who hasn't - then, get excited! Because, like my first two series, the Bloodcaster Chronicles is getting an ebook box set!
The box set releases Oct 1! You can preorder it here.
A Trip to Paris!
If you've read Tomb of the Queen, then you may recall that at the end of the novel, Jayne is called to Paris, setting up Book 2 of the series. Last week, Joss Walker and I finalized the outline for Master of Shadows, and as of this week, we've officially started writing it! Co-writing is very different from writing my own books. For one thing, I can't "pants" the plot like I used to lol! There's a lot more planning involved, and I need to take care to stick to the outline and the world that's been so well-developed for Book 1.
There's also a lot more research involved! Book 1 took place in Ireland, and diving into that culture when I read it was so much fun. With Book 2 taking place in Paris, I'm even more thrilled to do the research! And, as it turns out, the hubs and I will be taking a trip to Paris later this year! (assuming the covid nastiness subsides 🤞) So it's the perfect opportunity to get some firsthand research done! I've already started bookmarking some places to visit, and I wanted to share some of them with you! Here are the three libraries I want to hit - and hopefully our Jayne can visit them in the story as well!
So, which one would you want to visit first? I'm not sure I can decide. They all look so breathtaking! 😍 I think my bookish heart would explode of happiness.

This week's tip is on: Kindle Select vs. Wide!
If you're around indie authors, you may hear phrases like "Kindle Select" and "KDP" and "Wide" thrown around a lot. It can get confusing! If you don't know what any of those phrases mean, read on for an explanation!
KDP stands for Kindle Direct Publishing. This means publishing through Amazon. Enrolling your books in Kindle Select means that the ebook version of your book is exclusive to Amazon only. Your books are enrolled in Kindle Unlimited, where anyone who subscribes can download your ebook with the touch of a button.
"Wide" means your ebook is available on all platforms - Amazon, Kobo, Google Play, Apple Books, etc. You are not enrolled in Kindle Unlimited, but your books can still be purchased as Kindle ebooks.
Note: Kindle Select and Wide always refer to the ebook. There is no exclusivity with paperbacks and hardbacks. At least, as far as I know 😉
Now, which option is best? Well, that's for you to decide! Many authors swear that going Kindle Select is the best route for newbie authors because it's easier to draw in new readers via Kindle Unlimited. But other authors prefer not to put all their eggs in one basket, so they go wide. Whatever you decide, just make sure to do your research! Good luck! 😊
