Hello!
Event season is in full-swing, and I'll be at an event somewhere most weekends from now until November. If you're curious about what events I'm attending, you can always find an updated list on my website.
Speaking of events, this weekend I'll be at an event in Emerson, GA called the Emerson Exchange. There will be over 100 vendors offering all sorts of things like jewelry, boutiques, antiques and handmade items. If you're in the area, come see me!
Last weekend I was in Charlotte, North Carolina for ConCarolinas. I did this event last year and got to meet a lot of new author friends. This year, the literary Guest of Honor was Kevin J. Anderson, and Matt Dinniman was also there. I got to chat with Matt for a few minutes before he had to get to a panel. He's very cool and down-to-earth, and he doesn't consider himself a famous author (I disagree with him, ha!). It was a fun, but exhausting, time.
Anyway, I've finished 2 chapters in my new book, and it's coming along nicely. I'm having fun building this world, and while it's still dragon rider related, it'll be different (in a good way). I'm excited for this new project, and I appreciate the feedback everyone gave about the titles in my previous newsletter.
My Kickstarter campaign ended last week and did fantastic. Kickstarter finalized the pledges yesterday, and I'll be ordering copies soon. If you want to get a copy, you still have time to preorder it from Pledgebox, but the preorder store will be closing soon, so time is of the essence!
Below you'll find a free book promotion and a Dragon Giveaway!
What I’m reading: I haven't made much time to read yet, so I haven't started The Last Shadow Knight by Michael Webb just yet.
What I’m watching: I watched the first 2 episodes of Evil Season 4, and it's off to a great start. I'm sad it's the final season, but all good things must come to an end.
What are you reading/watching?
As always, a huge thank you for the support!
Richard
