Hello!
Can you believe it's May already? I find the time seems to be flying by even faster this year than it did last year!
The good news is warmer weather is here, and I'm happy about that. I enjoy summer, though most of the people I know prefer fall or winter. Not me!
I've got some news, though it isn't new. It'll be new for you, though. I'm sure you've heard of Dragon Con, but if you haven't, it's basically THE CONVENTION. It's massive, drawing tens of thousands of people to Atlanta for 5+ days.
I apply as a guest author almost every year, and I've always been declined. They have limited space, and they're very selective. Anyway, I applied again for this year, pretty much assuming I would be declined again.
Imagine my surprise when I got accepted! That's a bucket list goal checked off! I don't have my panel schedule yet, as that'll come a little later this year, but how cool is that? On top of that, I'll be part of the Sidestreet Book Market for a few hours each day in the vendor hall selling and signing books.
Do you attend Dragon Con? If so, what are some things you generally do or see while attending?
In other news, my newest Kickstarter launched this past Tuesday. It's for a deluxe edition omnibus of the first 3 books of my Dragon Riders of Osnen series. I've wanted to do a nice hardcover edition, and it's finally happening!
Not only did it fund in 3 minutes (I was blown away by that!), but it's over 600% funded so far. The campaign will run until May 30th, and if you like fancy books, I think you'll love this one. The campaign link is below if you're interested.
Below you'll find a book promotion with a chance to win a Dragon Prize Pack!
What I’m reading: I'm trying to decide on my next read. Hit me with your recommendations!
What I’m watching: I finished the second season of Halo on Paramount+ and I thought it was fantastic! The next and final season of Evil starts on May 23, and I'm looking forward to it. It's so good!
What are you reading/watching?
As always, a huge thank you for the support!
Richard
