Hello!
We're closing in on the end of the month, which means Halloween is just around the corner. We'll be taking two of our grandkids out to Trick-or-Treat as we normally do. Last year, my wife and I dressed up for the first time in a long time, and it was fun seeing people's reactions.
For reference, here was last year's costumes:
I think I might do Old Gregg this year because I think that would be hilarious, but I know a lot of people don't know the reference, so I may not. We'll see!
I did a one-day local outdoor event last weekend, and I did the exact same amount in sales I did at that event last year. It was a good day. This weekend, I'll be at The Alabama Renaissance Faire in Florence Alabama. This is my first time being there, so I'm excited to see how well I do. I'll be in costume, too!
On the writing front, I finished the third book in my new series last week, and I think I've decided the title for that one will be Threads of War. Now that the series is done and the first book has "aged" a little, I'll start reading back over it and doing some editing, then I'll move on to book 2, etc. I've been on the fence about what sort of covers I want for this series (in terms of what fits the best), and it's between illustrations of scenes from each book or symbol based covers. Do you have a preference between the two? Let me know with a quick reply!
Once they are edited and I've gotten the covers completed, then I'll rapid release the series. I normally do a month apart, so that's likely what I'll do with this series. With the holidays coming, I'm thinking book 1 probably won't release until January. I'll keep you updated either way.
I completed almost all of the fulfillment for my last campaign last week also. I have 3 packages left to ship out, but somehow I miscounted how many dust jackets I had vs. how many I needed for a previous volume and ran out, so I've ordered more and they should be arriving this week.
I've started ordering everything for the next campaign (which ended a few weeks ago), and I hope to get those shipped out earlier than expected. That all depends on printing and whatnot, but it should be smooth (it normally is).
In a previous newsletter, I posed a question about offering my imperfect deluxe editions at a discount and many of you replied with your feedback. For those interested, I have added the imperfect deluxe editions to my website store. By imperfect, I mean aesthetically imperfect. There's nothing wrong with the interior, so they can be read. They're just missing small pieces of foiling or have a bent/crushed corner, things like that.
You can check them out here near the bottom of the page.
That's all for now!

What I’m reading: I'm about to start my reread of Dragons of Autumn Twilight!
What I’m watching: I recently watch Bram Stoker's Dracula. My wife had never seen it before, and at the end, she said, "That's it? So is she still a vampire or not?" 😂
What are you reading/watching?
As always, a huge thank you for the support!
Richard
