Hello!
Today I'm heading out for Salt Lake City. I'll be at FanX from the 25-27, and I'll be stopping to see my middle daughter in Colorado on the way. Her husband is in the military, and they were moved from Kentucky to Colorado when he reenlisted. It'll be great to see them, but the bonus is that she had her second baby a couple of weeks ago, so I'll get to see the new grandbaby!
If you're near Salt Lake, I hope you'll come see me. I'll be part of a multi-author island that takes up booths 1651, 1653, 1655, 1750, 1752, and 1754.
You can find more info about the event here: FanX
I finished fulfillment for my Bound by Blood Kickstarter. That took a bit longer than expected because the printer kept sending me copies that had issues such as missing foil, crushed edges, etc. I'm excited for people to finally have them in their hands!
And speaking of Kickstarter, my campaign for the fifth volume of my Dragon Riders of Osnen series is currently running. You can find the details below.
I wrapped up book 2 of my current series in progress this week, and I'll begin working on book 3 when I get back from my cross-country trip. I'm really excited about the magic system in this series. I've not seen any other book with something similar, which isn't to say there isn't one, but I think people will find it interesting.
Essentially, fabric is memory. Every garment, banner, or scrap of cloth absorbs traces of the life it touched. One of the main characters has a rare gift allows her to “pull the thread of memory” from cloth and give it form. With a needle and thread, she can awaken voices, visions, or even spectral beings stitched from the essence within the fabric.
She hides her ability, working in a market stall repairing clothes, until one day her stitches awaken something that cannot be hidden.
The other POV is from Caedric, an Unraveler who works for a branch of the Weaver's Guild called the Hemlock Circle. They are tasked with hunting down rogue weavers and bringing them to justice.
This will be an enemies to lovers story, but without the spice. I'm having a lot of fun with the magic system and the character dynamics, and I can't wait to share it with you. As it stands, the series will be called Thread Witch, and book 1 will be titled Threads of Memory. Book 2 is Threads of Rebellion, and I don't yet have a title for book 3. This could all change once I get ready to publish them, but right now I like the titles I have, so we'll see if I come up with anything differemt.

What I’m reading: I'm still working my way through my reread of The Soulforge. All the things have kept me busy, and I've stopped reading before bed. I'll be catching up on my reading during my trip.
What I’m watching: I recently watched Formula 1. I'm not a racing fan or anything, but my daughter turned it on and I actually enjoyed it.
What are you reading/watching?
As always, a huge thank you for the support!
