Hello!
Thanksgiving is quickly approaching—a time for family, gratitude, and (let’s be honest) delicious feasts! As we gear up for the holiday season, I’d love to hear from you: What’s your favorite Thanksgiving tradition, or what are you most excited about this year?
It's tradition here that we go to my in-laws house. My family lives on the other side of the country, so I don't get to see them much. That may change a little, since our middle daughter and her husband have been stationed in Colorado beginning next month (he's in the military).
My favorite dessert for Thanksgiving is peanut butter pie made by my wife's cousin. It's delicious, but I have to eat it in moderation because of my diabetes. I'm disciplined though, so that's not a problem!
I'm nearing the halfway point on Sworn, the third and final book in my Bound by Blood series. Work on it slowed over the last week since I was away at an event, but I'm home this weekend and will be doing tons of writing. My self-imposed deadline is to have it finished by the end of this month, but we'll see how it goes.
If you don't follow my Facebook page, you should check it out. I post daily questions with dragon art, and I'll be doing a weekly giveaway of some books with minor aesthetic damage. I'll post a question each Monday and will choose a winner on Fridays. If you're interested, you can see my page here.
I'll be doing some local events on Black Friday weekend, and then December 6-8 I'll be in Columbus, Ohio for GalaxyCon Columbus! I'll be with a small group of authors who all write different genres, so if you live in the area, come out and see us!
And as a reminder, I am offering a 33% discount on select titles on my store. Just use the code SAVE when ordering. You can click the image below to see my store:
Below you'll find 2 giveaways. I'll have another free ebook promo in my next newsletter.
What I’m reading: I'm still reading Dragon Rider by Taran Matharu, and I'm just over 80% of the way through it and I'm really enjoying it. It fits comfortably in the dragon rider trope, but the world building and dynamics are refreshingly different.
What I’m watching: I haven't watched anything new as I've been busy writing, but we're planning to go see The Best Christmas Pageant Ever soon. We bought the book when my kids were much younger, and it looks like it's going to be a fun movie.
What are you reading/watching?
As always, a huge thank you for the support!
Richard
