About being Lazy:
So one of the things I've been doing these past few weeks is subscribing to other author's email lists. It came off a post I was reading where authors were saying that what people wanted from emails were funny cat pictures and stories about your life, and I wanted to see if it was true. It was.
Look, sorry guys, my life is boring. That's why I write. I imagine the things that could be.
And while I am a cat person, I'm actually in a place without cats at the moment. Do you like dogs too? Can I be that weird author who shows dog pictures instead?
The other thing I noticed was that I write too much. Way too much.
So I'm giving myself permission to be lazy, and I'm passing that permission on. From this point on I intend to write less on these emails, while still hopefully updating you on progress. I'm messing with the format a bit as well, and maybe I'll be able to sneak in a picture of my dogs (I have two).
Progress:
Look, it's not good. I got distracted (again). Novel one is with my editor, book 2 is at about 30%, book 3 is more like 70% ("Just combine them" I hear you say. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that). Book four is done (Yay me) but since you need the rest of them for this one to make sense, I probably need to keep writing.
On the bright side, if anyone was interested in reading about a music nerd and a werewolf, I have a story for you! (I don't, I'm at about 50%)
Here's to a more productive July with less distractions and more...
