Things I should not do
1) Write a prequel series about Flashfire and Angel. Unfortunately SOMEONE (you know who you are) mentioned it to me a few months back, and now I want to. I WILL BE BE DISTRACTED.
2) Read through the rest of my first drafts before I finish the rewrite of book 2. There's this bit in book three where Tia (as Tia) meets Dennovan (as Dennovan) and the interaction amuses the heck out of me.
3) I should definitely not give spoilers in my newsletter. Like that part in book nine where Daniel and Angel fight. Definitely should not mention that.
4) Turn this into a long email. I'm doing short ones now, remember?
Everything I should be doing:
So I (as of two days ago) have the edits back, which means I can start formatting, getting cover designs and all the other things I need to turn my stupid idea into a real book. At the moment, my intention is for either a September/October release, and I'm hoping to have the ARC's up soon. Anyone interested?
In case I didn't mention it earlier, my intentions with ARC's is to offer it to anyone who wants it. Those who write a review (good, bad or indifferent) will be asked whether they want to review the rest for free too. Basically, if you enjoy these books, there's every opportunity you can get them all for free (and early) by donating your time and a short review on Amazon and/or Goodreads.
Other stuff:
I'm signing off before book promotions now, and it's my intention from the next email to showcase a book that you all might like as well as the promos I've joined. If you're interested follow the link. If you're not, that's cool too. They should all be YA, and in the urban fantasy/paranormal/fantasy style, because that's what I read, and that's what I write. Anything of mine will go up the top cause.... Well that's how I roll.
Now, you've seen my list of things I should not be doing, what's yours? For my Northern Hemisphere friends, your school year starts soon (for the adults on here, this is a celebratory event, I know), and I'd love to hear about what you'd like to achieve before your freedom ends (Or in the case of adults: when your freedom starts)
Goodbye for now
Ren, Author and off to ABSOLUTELY NOT WRITE ABOUT FLASHFIRE AND ANGEL FIGHTING OTHER HEROES.
