As I step into 2025, I’m choosing to carry a focus that feels grounding and true. It’s not bold or flashy – it’s simple, quiet, and deeply meaningful: Steady.

Steady feels like an anchor – something that holds firm when the currents of life try to pull you under. It’s not about standing still but about remaining grounded, even when life feels heavy.

This Christmas, I found myself sitting quietly by the tree long after the house had settled. The lights glowed softly, and for a moment, I felt the weight of sadness – not overwhelming, but present. The kind that comes when traditions shift, loved ones are missing, or family dynamics change.

But as I sat there, I realized something unexpected. Sadness, when we let it rest without rushing to fix it, can be a gift. It anchors us to what matters. It reminds us of the depth of our love, the memories we cherish, and the quiet strength that faith can provide.

In that moment, I understood personally the gift of being steady – to feel deeply but not be undone by it.
