Clark County Council Ignores Public & Both Sheriff Candidates

JAIL SERVICES STRIPPED FROM SHERIFF IN POWER GRAB BY THE BUERACRATIC ARM OF THE COUNTY
Clark County Council stripped away the jail services from our elected official (Sheriff) to set up a new bureaucracy under the unelected County Manager. It was unanimously passed while absolutely ignoring the public and both sheriff candidates sitting in the front row opposing it.
All the elected Councilors need to be removed with people who have the courage to look out for and listen to the public rather than be led around by the Democrat lawyers and bureaucrats.
Vote for Don Benton & Michelle Belkot for County Council.
We’ll deal with Medvigy & Bowerman after the election. They think by putting it under County Manager they’ll have control but the truth is the County Manager has sole discretion. For example, Dr. Melnick is supervised by the County Manager which the lawyers say supersedes the County Councilors (we’re told) and the Councilors say they can’t do much with these departments.
They think we’re fools but their foolishness will not stand.
“We are not rushing this,” says Kathleen Otto as they rushed it without a work session, without any other info to the public, a basic rough idea of a transition plan, without talking to major stakeholders, and voted for it without details on the table.
If Medvigy thinks removing jail services from an elected official and giving it to a couple of bureaucrats with a Council that is literally hands-off with the executive branch is going to bring more accountability… he’s intentionally misleading the public or so entrenched in the bureaucracy narrative that he’s suffering from reality vertigo.
