8 SEATS FOR CHARTER REVIEW COMMISSION!
With tonight’s ballot results, it’s now clear that Brad Benton has secured the District 5, Position 1 seat, officially giving a majority to candidates who support putting people first — prioritizing public safety, a balanced budget, and fiscal accountability.
This is a huge milestone for Clark County voters who wanted to see the Charter Review Commission refocus on core community needs instead of the special-interest priorities we saw last time, like Ranked-Choice Voting, a DEI office, and a land acknowledgment disguised as a preamble.
This marks a major shift in direction for Clark County’s Charter Review — away from divisive, ideological proposals and toward practical reforms that actually benefit the public. It shows that voters want a government that lives within its means, supports law enforcement, and respects the will of the people.
While this is just the first step, it’s a significant development. Democrats are likely stunned to see the Charter Review Commission — one of the most powerful local bodies shaping our county’s future — slip through their fingers.
This victory belongs to you — the people of Clark County — who showed up, got involved, and voted for common-sense candidates who want to restore balance and accountability to local government.
A huge win for the people!
Thanks be to God, and to everyone who pitched in, shared information, knocked doors, and reminded friends to vote. It took incredible effort from many dedicated citizens to make this happen — and you made the difference.
Even more impressive, this success came despite everything happening across the state and nation. If Democrats hadn’t had the manufactured shutdown and “No Kings” theatrics to rally their base, the margin wouldn’t have even been this close.
But tonight, the results speak for themselves: Clark County voters chose leadership that listens, priorities that make sense, and a Charter Review Commission that truly serves the people.
