It is very likely that every church will have sinners attending. When sinners mingle there will be conflict. Even mature believers can experience conflict in the church. With conflict there comes the necessity to resolve the conflict. Years ago my friend said, ‘If you want justice, go to the courts. If you want grace go to church.”

This passage suggests that there are all the resources necessary to resolve the conflict. We see that there are wise people in the family of God. By that is meant, there are people that fear God and are able to correctly apply the principles of scripture to the issues and people involved in any particular conflict.

If your church lacks that kind of person, take time to pray that God would provide that kind of person. Know that He may have you be the answer to your prayer. God also provides His Spirit to bring harmony and unity to His church. You will not alone in resolving conflicts, and you will not have anything less than the power of God in helping you resolve conflicts in your church.
