Paul demonstrated a life displaying God’s power. He was a man of action, continually traveling and encountering lost people for the purpose of sharing the Gospel, making disciples and establishing churches that would reproduce other churches.

Christians can be all talk and no action. We can study words and never act. We can discuss ideas and ignore the mission. I married a woman that had a very catholic background. She attended catholic school and never heard the Gospel. She attended CU Boulder and had a few Christian acquaintances. She was never invited to a Bible study or church by those believers. She admits that she would have gladly gone with them to an event or service. But they just didn’t ask.

Later in life she was invited to a service and she began regularly attending church. In a short time she placed her trust in Jesus. At that moment, the power of God’s kingdom was displayed. The greatest visual revelation of God’s Kingdoms power is salvation. That act by God to save someone is an event with eternal ramifications.

As we go about our lives this week, let us look for power, not talk.
