Hi
F reached out to me last month for advice on perimenopause. When we had the consultation, she indicated that her major concerns were frequent hot flashes. She decided to start with nutrition to address the hot flashes. There were no meal plans involved but a deep dive into how she was eating.
First step was to increase her protein intake. It helped with her sugar cravings. If you didn't know, during this transitiong we don't handle too much sugar as well as we used to and it can trigger perimenopause symptoms. Also If you still ain't know by now, you NEED to increase it. As I would always say, one chicken wing or one egg at a meal is NOT enough.
After a week of changing, she said to me that the frequency of the hot flashes have reduced but wants to see if this will be repeat. Second week into changing her diet and again the frequency has reduced. Double celebrations!!!
Thing is, nurition coaching with me is not a one size fits all approach. It is an approach that is tailored to you and where we work together to devise a plan. It will not be linear either. There will be ups and downs but life is not linear. The linear or constant thing is that I will be there to support you 100%.
If you need help with your nutrition, feel free to reply 'Nutrition'
P.S The first step starts with asking for help. She asked for it and is already getting results. Week 2 of a 12 week nutrition coaching program
