Day 2 Not All Protein is Equal

Hi

Not all protein is created equal. Some are “complete proteins” (they contain all 9 essential amino acids) — like chicken, fish, eggs, and dairy. Others are “incomplete proteins,” common in plant foods.

💡 Tip: Combine plant proteins (like rice + peas, or lentils + brown rice) to create a complete protein.

When you can, aim for the highest quality protein your budget allows , it gives you more amino acids, and your body gets more benefit.

Caribbean tip: Stewed Red beans & rice or pigeon peas & quinoa = protein powerhouse.
