Hello Practically Perfect Friends,

Did you know that Practically Perfect Physical Therapy does Vestibular Therapy?!

You may be asking, "What is that?"

The vestibular system is a complex sensory system that regulates our balance and lets us know where we are in space. It is located within the inner ear in a region known as the vestibular labyrinth.

Balance is defined as the ability to maintain equilibrium, an upright posture, and stability on your feet. In order to be balanced, there are a variety of sensory and motor processes that must work together with the vestibular system simultaneously. These include sensory input from vision and touch, as well as motor output to muscles in the body and eyes. If any of these systems are not functioning properly dizziness and balance issues arise.  Physical therapy can help alleviate dizziness and improve balance when something goes wrong!
