🌼 Gentle Reminders for Managing Stress During Election Season

Hi ,

I know that, as a busy working mom, it often feels like the weight of the world rests on your shoulders—especially in times like these, when the energy around us can be intense. With the election happening, it’s normal to feel a mix of emotions, from anxiety to hope to exhaustion. You’re navigating your day-to-day while also absorbing the emotions and stresses of those around you.

So today, I want to share a few simple ways to protect your peace and recharge during this season:

1. Limit Your News Intake💛

The news cycle is fast-paced and intense right now, which can quickly lead to overwhelm. Try setting aside a specific time to check in on updates, rather than getting drawn in all day.. especially social media. This way, you stay informed without becoming drained.

2. Set Small Intentions for Your Day💛

Pick one or two intentions each morning, like taking a deep breath before every meal or going for a walk outside. These little acts of mindfulness help you stay present and remind you to care for yourself, even amidst the chaos.

3. Prioritize a Few Minutes of Movement💛

Exercise, even in small doses, is a proven stress reliever. Whether it’s a quick stretch, a few minutes on the treadmill, or a walk with the kids, moving your body releases tension and clears your mind.

4. Protect Your Peace at Home💛

This is your sanctuary. Set boundaries around what’s discussed at home, especially if political talk feels too heavy. Instead, make space for conversations that lift your spirits, like funny stories from the day or weekend plans.

5. Breathe and Check In💛

Anytime the stress feels like it’s creeping in, take a few slow, deep breaths. A minute of focused breathing can reset your nervous system and bring calm. Remember, you are allowed to pause and check in with yourself, even if just for a moment.

You’re carrying a lot right now, and it’s OK to let go of things that don’t serve you. And remember: you’re not alone. Many moms feel the same way, especially during times like these.

If you know another mom who might need these reminders, please forward this email to her. Sometimes, a simple nudge can make all the difference.

Take care of yourself. You deserve it.

Love,

Patrice
