your weekly pause 006: stop procrastinating

May 24, 2026 6:06 pm

Hi, and happy Memorial Day weekend!

I'm not sure where you are in the world, but I'm in the DMV and it is a rainy, cold, and windy unofficial summer kickoff. The old me would be upset about the lack of sun and the non-pool-friendly weather. But I am so thankful for this opportunity to just be inside. Because if it were hot and sunny, ya girl would be OUTside... legit looking for somebody's pool, stressing over who could watch my kids, spending money, and not working on the priorities I set for myself in Q2.

Not to say that sunshine-filled pool days aren't important, because they are, and they're 100% happening soon. But, that's not what I need right now. I am in a very deep season of preparation and quiet contemplation, focused on achieving the milestones I set for myself. I am literally putting myself first in real time. And this isn't for the consumption of others. This is truly just for me.

That's what a lot of this "put you first" messaging actually means. The spa days and long walks are great... cute, even. But those aren't the actions that move the needle in the long haul. Those aren't the actions that change your life. Those aren't what show your family that you actually matter to you. You get what I'm saying?

The Pause:

Use this weekend to take on a personal development task you know you've been putting off. You've been procrastinating long enough... making excuses and blaming motherhood for your lack of progress. You have some extra time right now. Activate & GO!

My Recommendation:

If fitness is that thing — and even if it isn't — supplements make a massive difference. I'm pretty particular about what I put into my body, and Orgain is the only brand I trust for my protein, collagen, probiotics, and more. They're committed to helping people live vibrant lives through clean, quality nutrition. They're running a 25% off sale all weekend long, so take advantage. Orders over $100 come with a free gift. Grab you Orgain here.
