Hi ,

We've been busy pouring our creativity into some exciting new careers resources to tie in with what's going on at this time of year - transition, Wimbledon and summer holidays! Read on to find out more...

The Panjango World Tour!

The summer break is quickly approaching with the prospect of holidays and adventures just around the corner!

Our new Panjango World Tour resource takes students on a trip around the globe to see how their Geography knowledge could be put into practice in some exciting careers found around the world.

They could dive into a career working as Marine Biologist on the Great Barrier Reef, become a Charity Worker helping to rebuild Haiti after the earthquake or lead a group as a Mountain Guide on a trek through the Alps.

Each challenge is linked to the KS3 Geography curriculum making it the perfect resource for teachers to bring learning to life and connect careers and the curriculum within geography lessons.

Transition Resources

With the end end of the school year drawing near, it is time to concentrate on transition and the start of the next school year. We know that this can be a busy time and have created a trio of resources to use either during transition week or in the new school year.

In true Panjango style, our Transition Challenges resource offers contextualised challenges for new starters based on some of the skills that they will need to thrive in their new school.

These challenges will help the students to consider what they will need to do in order to stay organised, make new friends and succeed at their new school.

We have created a 20 Questions resource to encourage conversations between students who will be eager to make new friends and settle into their new learning environment.

Simply pair up students, choose a question number and allow them to discuss. We aim for the questions to spark new friendships based on anything from a shared love of the same movie to a joint passion for how they want to change the world!

We have also created two worksheets (with some accompanying slides) on the theme of Social Networking i.e. helping students to build their own new social network in their new school.

Students are tasked with building their own social media 'homepage' listing their interests, and must then network with their classmates to find those who share common interests.

All these resources can be found in the new Transition folder here.

The Wimbledon Rally!

Finally, we couldn't resist the temptation to create a careers resource around everyone's favourite tennis tournament!

This quick fire challenge game sees students step into the shoes of those delivering our annual summer tennis bonanza.

Students work in teams to complete the challenges and win points. Will it go to a tie break and be decided on the crucial match point?

This is a quick career-related activity that is perfect for tutor time or for a fun end-of-year activity.

Remember - you can explore more than 200 resources in total in the Panjango Resource Bank here.

Or you can continue to access the files through your Gumroad account if you prefer.

We hope you enjoy these latest additions and we'll be back soon with more!
