Hi ,
Here at Panjango, we’re always keen to use key events in the calendar to put careers in the spotlight.
So we’re back with you already with two new resources that do just that!
🧪 British Science Week
We’re celebrating all things ‘connected’ in our new resource to promote career learning as part of British Science Week next week.
The theme set by the British Science Association this year is ‘Connections’.
If we think about the world around us, almost everything functions thanks to a connection - the technology we use, the ecosystems around us and even our own bodies.
Most STEM innovations are developed thanks to connections between scientists and researchers which is perfect for encouraging your students to explore a range of careers linked to the theme.
We’ve created a KS2 and a KS3 version of our British Science Week resource - each with 15 contextualised challenges based on a scientific connection.
From Marine Biologist to Fashion Designer, the resources feature a wide range of careers to choose from to allow your students to see how their scientific learning can be applied in the world of work.
This resource is perfect to spark a discussion during tutor time, or for use by your Science department to support the individual topics of Science Week.
You can download the KS2 resource here and the KS3 version here.
🔴 Comic Relief - Red Nose Day
Get it in your diary - Friday 17th March is Red Nose Day!
Since starting in 1985, the charity has raised over one billion pounds to help tackle poverty and social injustice in many of the world’s poorest communities - and at home in the UK.
Our new Red Nose Day resource highlights just a few of the projects that have been supported and the careers that have helped to change lives.
The charity sector offers a wide range of well paid jobs that your students might not have considered from Sports Coaches to Botanists, or Health Scientists to Logistics Planners.
The resource aims to inspire your students to think about how the issues that are important to them could influence their own career choices.
Featuring an interactive map, your students can travel to 15 countries around the world to see how Comic Relief donations have been spent and the careers that they help to fund.
Each location offers a contextualised challenge that will test your students' skills in dealing with some of the world’s most pressing social issues.
Ideal for use during tutor time or for a topical careers lesson, you can download the resource here.
