Hi ,
We're back with our final regular update to our Resource Bank!
For our final batch of new and games resources, we've chosen to focus on something very close to our hearts - and something which is going to be vitally important to every young person in their future.
We've created a selection of games and activities exploring the topic of Careers and Climate Change - just in time for Green Careers Week which starts on 4th November.
We believe it's now impossible to talk about careers without also talking about climate change. The two are now inextricably linked as climate change, and our response to it, will have far reaching consequences for our society and the jobs of the future.
This is also an issue that young people are passionate about and they increasingly want to follow purpose-driven and environmentally-conscious career paths that make a positive difference in the world.
So read on to find out more about our latest Careers and Climate Change themed additions to the Panjango Resource Bank...
Careers & Climate Activity Pack
We've created 12 games and activities packaged up into an easy-access Activity Selector - with 228 slides worth of activity in total!
The selector allows you to choose from the following activities which explore different aspects of climate change, the jobs that are currently working to address climate issues, as well as how the world of work is likely to change in the future:
Climate Vocabulary Mix Up - match up the climate-related words to their correct definitions
Climate Fact or Fiction Game - determine whether statements relating to climate change are true or false
Sounds Fishy Game - learn about misinformation and try to work out if you are being misled by your friends!
Carbon Cost Game - a higher or lower game to understand the carbon footprint of various daily actions
Our Changing World - explore the wide ranging impacts of climate change to understand how the world will change if we fail to take action
Tackling the Crisis - complete challenges relating to some of the solutions being implemented in different jobs to tackle the climate crisis
Geoengineering - explore the concept of geoengineering and debate the pros and cons of some proposed geoengineering interventions

The Big Climate Discussion - offers prompts to hold discussions on a range of climate and careers related topics
The Big Fat Climate Quiz - a mega quiz based on the popular television show that puts climate knowledge to the test
You can access the main Activity Selector, all the accompanying worksheets and game cards, and the Teacher Guide in the Careers and Climate Change folder here.
EcoQuest Board Game
We have also created a print-and-play board game which helps learners understand the actions they can take to help tackle the climate crisis - and some of their actions which could be making it worse!
The game also offers a selection of challenge cards with links to green jobs to stimulate discussion about a variety of climate-focused career paths.
The accompanying PowerPoint guides learners through the activity and allows you to trigger 'Climate Emergencies' which prompt classroom discussion on possible solutions to various climate crises.
Check out the Rules document to understand how to set up and play the game.
You can download all of the EcoQuest game materials in the folder here.
Our Final Update
These additions mark our final formal update to our Resource Bank - which now includes around 400 games, activities and lessons. We've poured our creativity and passion for careers into everything we've created to help make career learning as fun, engaging and meaningful as possible for your students.
You'll continue to receive full access to our Resource Bank. You can access our whole collection in the Panjango Resource Bank folder here (make sure you have bookmarked this link for future reference, or downloaded the folder content).
We've also done a final update of our Index file for the Resource Bank so you can browse through everything on offer in our full collection.
It's been quite a journey creating everything in the Resource Bank - exhausting, but very much rewarding. We hope you and your students have enjoyed using our games and resources and they have helped to bring career learning to life in your classroom.
Thanks once again for joining us our mission to transform the way young people learn,
Jon and the Panjango team
