Hi ,

Your latest monthly additions to the Panjango Resource Bank are here!

We’ve been working hard to complete our KS2 Science offering, creating resources linking careers and sustainability as well as adding a new 'careers in sport' activity and three new careers to take our collection of individual Careers resources to more than 70!

Read on for more information about how you can make the most out of the latest additions to the Panjango Resource Bank...

🕊️ UN Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals are worldwide commitments to create positive global change by the year 2030.

The 17 goals focus on how we can work together to bring about a world of peace and prosperity for people in every country, all whilst minimising our impact on the planet.

Our new Sustainable Development Goals resource allows your learners to explore the goals through contextual challenges and identify how they might make a positive difference to the world in the future.

Using the interactive selector screen, learners are introduced to each of the goals and then provided with a challenge that encourages them to think about how they could work to meet that goal in their future career.

The resource covers a wide range of interesting job roles - with everything from Solicitor to Vertical Farmer, there is something to interest every student!

You can access the Sustainable Development Goal's resource here.

🔬 KS2 Science Resources

We’ve added four new resources to our upper KS2 Science offering to demonstrate to learners how curriculum knowledge is applied in the world of work. The topics added this month include:

Each of the topics contains 7 contextual challenges, as well as a series of discussion prompts, to stimulate thought and conversation about the link between the Science that students are learning and their future careers.

Not all jobs featured are necessarily in the Science and Technology sector to demonstrate how science is important in all aspects of life and to bring greater meaning and purpose to their classroom learning.

These resources are ideal to use at the end of a topic to recap on learning and reinforce its importance in life after school.

You can access our full collection of KS2 topic resources here - and are collection of KS3 resources covering every topic of the Maths, English and Science curriculum is here.

👨‍🔧 Individual Careers

We’ve also added three new individual Current Jobs to the Resource Bank.

Plumber, Butcher and Armed Forces Officer are now included to take the collection of Current Jobs resources to more than 70.

Remember we also have five Future Jobs resources to show students how the world of work is rapidly changing.

You can find the Current Jobs resources here and the Future Jobs resources here.

⛳ Careers in Sport wordsearchimage

Many young people aspire to a career in sports and so this wordsearch is perfect for introducing them to a wide variety of possible career paths.

The aim is to show that you don’t have to be an elite athlete to turn your passion for sport into a career. With 25 sports careers hidden in the wordsearch, learners will explore careers they may not have considered before - or may not have even heard of!

The wordsearch is a fun and quick activity which is ideal for the start of a careers session, tutor time or to link PE lessons to careers.

You can find the wordsearch and the rest of our Activities resources in the folder here.
