Use leaderboards, encourage user participation. Even wishing your customer on their birthdays makes a difference.

The small stuff is what users notice. Don’t just listen to your user...👉 Act on their pain points. Your product deserves the love, and so do your users.

OpenAI's Project Strawberry launches (early)

In last week's edition of our newsletter, we said that OpenAI's Project Strawberry, a new AI model focused on advanced reasoning, may release as early as September 20th. Turns out they released it the very next day. Yes, they released it last Thursday and it is as you'd expect - brilliant.

Now some of you who are expecting it to churn out relevant content at the speed of light might be a bit disappointed. But, if you're someone who employ ChatGPT for a lot of reasoning-based queries and use Chain Of Thought prompting, this upgrade will definitely be useful.

The new version which is launched as o1 Preview and o1 Mini is currently available to certain ChatGPT users in certain countries. We have it on good authority that OpenAI intends to give free access but it will prioritize which users get access based on whether they've spent in excess of $1000 in token credits, are a ChatGPT Plus user etc.

According to OpenAI, the models outperform GPT-4o on a series of "reasoning" benchmarks. The models perform complex reasoning and thinks before responding to the user.

With the new version of ChatGPT out, I am confident the AI space is going to be cluttered with various bits and pieces of content that talks about how great Gen AI is and how ChatGPT will be taking over more jobs and core functions within teams.

My advice to everyone consuming that content is - take everything with a grain of salt.

While anything new to do with technology sounds interesting and exciting, it is important that we don't jump to conclusions too fast.

Give things some time to play out.
