Summer is in full swing!
New Classics is excited to feature author Kandi Wyatt in our July update. She attended the Oregon Homeschool Convention. Don't you just love her booth? Dragons everywhere you look!

I had a wonderful time at OCEANetwork in Albany, Oregon, last month. It was great to see return readers begging their parents for the next series and to have good conversations with parents about fantasy books. I love being able to provide family-friendly fantasy that brings hope and light--and parents can trust.

This month, Kandi shares a free Dragon coloring page. Why dragons? Read on!
Drawing and coloring have been Kandi's go-to relaxation since she was wee-little, so creating coloring sheets was a natural outcome. It took some time for her to learn the basics, but eventually, she was able to create some fun ones.
This free dragon coloring page (PDF) goes with her newest book, Appointed, (which is a King David retelling with a twist) and . . . dragons. If you love dragons, check out Kandi's books➡️
- Myth Coast Adventures for kids 8-12
- The Dragon Courage series for kids 8-88 (and especially reluctant sixth-grade boy readers)
- Four Stars over Ardatz: Sovereigns for high school and up.

. . . writes “family-friendly fantasy that brings light and hope” and is the author of An Unexpected Adventure, for which you can download a free study guide here ➡️ Kandi lives with dragons, most in human form--and some even blow fire! She spends her days providing space for teens to be themselves, inspiring them to be more than meets the eye, and spilling hope into their world.
