New Book and Time-Travel Game from The Guardians of Time

Come Time Travel with Me!
Phyllis Wheeler here. I've been time-traveling lately. For proof, take a look at this short video > It shows me returning from the mists of time to York, United Kingdom, on the city wall. 😆
In all seriousness, I do like to bring my young readers on time-travel adventures. Maybe I'll take them to York soon. Celts ruled it, then the Romans, then Anglo-Saxon, then Viking kings, only to be conquered by . . . guess who? William the Conqueror.
A Free Time Travel Game
Your family will have fun and learn some history and geography with my free download time-travel game. It's a journey to Lyon, France, in 1680. This mirrors the action in book one of the Guardians of Time, The Dog Snatcher, which is my New Classics featured book. You'll need to sign up for my email newsletter in order to download the game. You'll get Christian fiction suggestions for the whole family, news and deals about my own work.
Guardians of Time Book 4 is here!
Well, most of the formats. The ebook and audiobook are available right now, and the paperback and hardcover release next week, July 15. Read on to learn more about Return of the Cave Lion:
Join Jake and Ava, 11-year-old time travelers, on their latest adventure as they rescue those lost in time. When a mysterious, large kitten appears in their suburban driveway, they know it's time to take him home, wherever that is. Soon the twins, their four-year-old cousin, and their furry companion find themselves in a misty forest somewhere in the distant past. Where are they? And how will they ever get home?
This newest adventure is a "keeper," say some people who have read it. And no worries if you haven't read the other books in the Guardians of Time series. Return of the Cave Lion can be read as stand-alone.
Return of the Cave Lion has received high praise from the Midwest Book Review and has been named a finalist for the Cascade Christian Writers Award.
"Writing more than a time-travel adventure, Wheeler encourages all ages to consider God’s mandates, purpose, and mystery while placing the young characters in positions where they must make important decisions while staying true to moral values.
"These elements gift the added value of spiritual reflection during the process of vivid action and discoveries. All these elements translate to exquisite adventure reading." Diane Donovan, Midwest Book Review, August 2025
