August means back to school and when my kids were young, I always enjoyed doing special projects with them at the beginning of each new homeschool year. It helped us gently transition back into our school routines. That's why I wanted to highlight my Callie’s Contest of Courage middle grade novel for you. It's full of adventure for kids, including a cross-country trip to visit the twins of mischief, a water-balloon fight, and a pie-eating contest.
