Working From The In Between

A NOTE  FROM AMY

TLDR: How often do you stop to overthink what you're doing, how you're doing, when you're doing, will you're doing, doing, doing ever be enough? In a society built for MORE, sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves (and our family) is to remember we get to simply exist. And that is always enough. FREE virtual retreat loading: Save the dates June 1-4, 2026.

Behind the scenes of building a digital business and launching with 3 kids under the age of 10 ⬇️

Movement, school drops, pacing, hydration, food, library coworking and book hauls, doctor's office admin, coaching calls from third spaces.

Bookended by reminders, rituals and moments to anchor in what it's all for!

Spring tulips, sunsets, getting the soccer ball when it's kicked over the fence (again), before practicing my sleep hygiene because now that the youngest is starting school soon we CANNOT watch all the Stanley Cup Final games live.

I learned a loooooong time ago (and the Universe gifts me extra practice) that how I'm BEING while I'm doing the doing....is as important if not more so, than the results themselves.

Because as Trooper sings, 'We're here for a good time, not a long time' folks. So make it count!

The opposite of hustle, grind, push through and traditional corporate culture over here.

📅 SAVE THE DATE: June 1-4, 2026 | FREE Online Retreat

I'll be hosting a FREE live round of my virtual retreat for parents pursuing flexible and remote work with kids...first time I've delivered this experience in real time since 2021!

Registration details to follow later this week, it will look and feel like...

  • 3x Daily drops of mindset, workflow and ritual trainings
  • Accompanied by simple, kid-friendly practices and resources
  • Digital workbook for your printing or screen based doodling
  • One live online gathering for us to come together in real time

Because over the years, I've learned the importance and impact of not doing the work (of paid/unpaid work and caregiving) alone.

I've also discovered the pleasant surprise that it's safe to make changes to the ways in which you work, show up and move through the daily routines of parenting. Without sacrificing your own needs in the process.

Stay tuned for the link to join us in June, before the upcoming school holidays and seasonal changes! And please, go ahead and share this email with the parents in your network, community and family, who you think may be interested.

🌅✨️Until then, I'll leave you with this thought and reminder inspired by last week's sunset courtesy of Mother Nature...

For the ones who hold space for others, nurture little ones, create change and advocate for their needs, with a ripple effect: You get to look after yourself, experience joy and let others witness you as you are. Without self-abandoning or tending to others' needs 24/7.

I try to pause, ground, regulate often. I don't always remember to in the moment but we weren't created to be robots, tethered to machines or endlessly productive.

You get to simply exist.

What you're doing is enough.

Who you're being is enough.

Be kind and compassionate with yourself, others will mirror it.

Please remember: You are not alone.

✨ Have a great start to your week,
