Hello !
There's a lady at my gym that I don't like.
I know, it's hard to believe because I generally like everyone (except you, Todd).
Why don't I like her? Becuase every time I see her there, I smile and say, "Good morning!" but she never smiles back. Instead, she just looks at me like I'm weird, and refuses to reciprocate. It totally harshes my morning workout vibes. I go from happy to thinking, "Say it back you grumpy old husk!"
It's kind of sad that we live in a world where kindness and love can seem so rare.
It's been a hard year. A pandemic, economic crises, lost love ones, shuttered businesses, and crazy anxiety and depression. However, we still take to social media and criticize, we get stingy with encouragement, and we refuse to say hello at the gym! (Okay, letting that go.)
My point is, if there was ever a time for God's people to commit to loving those around us (both virtually, and in person), that tme is now.
On Sunday, we touched on practicing loving others like Jesus. What acts of kindness, loving attitudes, or friendly words can you share with others this week?
Okay, maybe not kiss the mailman's fingers, but you get the gist. The world hurts. Try to make it better with goodness.
When we do, people see Jesus in us.
Go be like Jesus.
You rock.
See you Sunday!
