Embracing Tech Time Outs... Kinda

It's been a little while since my last email, due to some recent travels. These trips refreshed my perspective on the role of technology in our lives.

In October, my wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary with a breathtaking trip to the Grand Canyon and other beautiful areas of Arizona. Just prior and following that bucket-list trip, I had the opportunity to travel for work within Iowa and visit with family in my birth state of Ohio. These journeys allowed me to unplug from the daily routine of my technology use—a rare and refreshing experience.

My lovely wife (Marie) of 20 years and I visited the Grand Canyon in October. The trip featuring epic landscapes, plus limited mobile & wifi service!

However, this time away from my normal tech diet reminded me of how far technology has advanced in my lifetime and how fortunate we are to have these powerful tools at our disposal. Despite being not at my desk, I was still able to serve all of you, my valued clients, effectively and efficiently by use of tech before-during-after these trips. The ability to balance personal life and professional responsibilities seamlessly is a testament to the incredible capabilities of modern technology tools for business.

While there are ongoing discussions about the potential impacts of AI and the concerns about excessive screen time, my recent experiences have highlighted the positive side of technology. Tech has enriched my life, enabling me to maintain strong connections to those who allow me (and you!) to live "a wonderful life".

As we continue to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of technology together, let's remember to appreciate the ways it enhances our lives and work. After all, what could be better than living a fulfilled life with those we care about, supported by the tools that help us achieve our goals?
