Are You Committed To Your Business Idea?

Having a great business idea is just the beginning. It's essential to commit to your vision to evaluate (and/or achieve) it successfully. Over the last decade, I've encountered numerous clients with promising ideas, yet they never delve into the crucial details that can make or break their ventures.

For instance, I recall a client with great visionary ideas who had difficulty focusing on one long enough to see if the initial idea worked. We got going on one but were onto the next thing before we could thoroughly test the first. This "touch and go" approach never let us dig deep enough to understand the reasons for its success or failure. Was the problem the idea, the marketing, the tech, the sales message, or the offering itself? Sure, understanding this would take more time, money, and effort than they wanted... but we would know something definitive, not just be assuming it.

When considering your business visions, it's vital to consider the following aspects:

  • Setting Up The Offer: Take the time to analyze your business and related marketing and tech thoroughly. Define the value proposition, assess its uniqueness, and ensure it addresses a genuine need in the marketplace.
  • Identifying The Target Market & Persona(s): Tailoring your product or service to a specific target market and persona is essential to success. Understanding your audience's needs, preferences, and pain points will guide your marketing efforts and product development.
  • Working Through The Lead Realities: Establishing the lead math—calculating the total number of potential customers needed to achieve success—is crucial. Understand the lead funnel, conversion points, and lead volume required to allocate resources and define realistic success metrics for your venture.

By addressing these fundamental aspects, you'll be better equipped to transform your great idea into a successful reality. This type of work into the details is the differentiator between a good idea and a thriving business.

I'm here to support you every step of your business tech journey. Feel free to reach out with your questions (& ideas!).
