First Things First: Got Eternal Life?

This won't always be easy.

That's why it's important to practice it. Especially when it is easy.

From little offenses to major violations.

The opportunity to forgive in your marriage will come up plenty of times.

And out of all the times it comes up, when should you forgive?

MATTHEW 18:21-22

"Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!"

QUESTIONS TO ASK:

Am I holding a grudge against my spouse about ANYTHING?

Do I need to forgive ANYONE about anything?

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, help me to forgive. Search me God. Purge me of any grudges or anything I'm holding on to that's keeping me from receiving your forgiveness. Thank you for forgiving my sins as I forgive those who have sinned against me. Being like You and pointing people to You is more important than my feelings. Help me to live these words out on day to day basis. Especially in my marriage. In Jesus' name Amen.
