First Things First: Got Eternal Life?

If God is patient with us for the sake of us spending eternal life with Him...

Can't we be patient with our spouse for things much less important?

Seriously. Think about it.

He loves humans so much that He's STILL giving us chances to spend eternity with Him. People THOUSANDS of years ago stopped believing because He was "taking too long".

But Peter reminded them, and reminds us now, that the human concept of time has no influence on God.

And that it's really His patience we're experiencing. For our own benefit of eternal life.

Again, if He can show us patience for something eternal...

Can't we be patient for temporary things?

2 Peter 3:9

"The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance."

QUESTIONS TO ASK:

How patient have I been with my spouse this week?

PRAYER: Thank you Father for showing me patience. And giving me the opportunity to spend eternity with you. Forgive me for not being patient. Help me to show patience to others. Including myself and my spouse. Remind me to turn to You when I get frustrated or angry when things aren't moving as fast as I want them to. And let your truth rule in my heart. In Jesus' name Amen.
